DnD Beyond →

DnD Beyond is free to access (though some content can be purchased) and allows you to create characters or review basic rules. You can create your own homebrew items, creatures or subclasses (among other things) as well as create campaigns for yourself and your other players. I use DnD Beyond in my games, creating a campaign for each group. Creating your character within my campaign will give you access to all the species and classes that I have access to through purchasing content through their website.
