Level 6 Features

Vampiric Smite

If your spellcasting focus is a melee weapon (i.e. quarterstaff), you can cast Vampiric Touch as a part of the attack action if you attack using your spellcasting focus. Make your attack roll using the attack modifier for your spellcasting focus. The damage of the attack will be equal to the normal weapon attack damage, plus the damage from the Vampiric Touch spell.

If your target is bloodied, you also heal an additional number of hit points equal to your wisdom modifier (up to a maximum equal to the total amount of necrotic damage you dealt to your target).

Furthermore, if you cast Vampiric Touch (either directly, or using your spellcasting focus) on a willing creature, you can regain the full amount of hit points from the necrotic damage dealt, rather than half.

Vampiric Recovery

Whenever you take a short rest in an area which has living vegetation within 10 feet of you, you can choose to recover spell slots. The spell slot levels you can recover are equal to your proficiency bonus, in any combination. For example, if your proficiency bonus is +3, then you can recover 3 levels of spells, (i.e. 1 x 3rd level spell slot, 3 x 1st level spell slots, or 1 x 1st level spell slot and 1 x 2nd level spell slot).

As a side effect of this, however, all vegetation within a 10 foot radius of you while you are taking your short rest, withers and dies.
